So I have decided I want to make blankets for the homeless this year. Slowly getting donations in of tshirts since it takes about 10 for one blanket. Finished my first one today and even though I messed up on a few steps, I think it turned out pretty good. This past Christmas my boyfriend got me a new sewing machine with all these extras and I was thrilled to get it but also apprehensive since I'm so new at sewing. So far I found a great Facebook group with a connecting YouTube channel of how to videos that correspond to my machine, and it's been so helpful.

So this is the finished blanket |

This is it all folded into it's pocket with a flap and ties shut at the bottom. |

This is the back with straps so it's easier to carry around. |

Ta Daaa!!! |
I can't wait to get more shirts in and get started on more. In 2 days I learned so much and can't wait to try out more stuff on my machine.
Paying it forward and helping the community is great too ;)
